Other than that, no problems with anything. The tripod is okay, nothing special - it gets the job done. The bag is decent as well containing enough room for an extra lens, extra battery, the camera itself; it also has many zippered compartments. Overall it's a great packaged deal for the price.

I'm no expert to be sure, but these lenses are a pain to use. they screw on to your existing lens, and it just takes too much time and effort. Trying to keep your lens clean while doing this is a challenge.
The battery is as advertised, for the camera it says it fits, in my case, the nikon d-5000.
This total package reminds me of when I used to pick my cereal based on which one had the best toy inside the box. Sometimes, I ate some really crappy cereal. If you want a box full of toys, it's here. if you want quality lenses, for quality photos, better shop around.

(More customer reviews)This camera is a wonderful product. I have used it for almost a full month now and have not had any issues with it. It takes great pictures and is fairly easy to use. It has many features that I haven't had a chance to explore yet. The battery life is excellent. I have taken hundreds of pictures over the past month and the battery is still full. This particular camera does not have the live LCD screen so if you don't like using the viewfinder, I suggest buying the upgraded model. It also does not have the ability to take video clips. The playback LCD screen is large, though. The shoulder strap is very sturdy and not cheaply made. This is my first Nikon and I am extremely pleased thus far.

(More customer reviews)I'm exceptionally pleased with this purchase. The D80 feels very well designed, very well thought-out, very capable without being too complicated. I was considering the D200 before the D80 was announced, but it seemed like a lot of money for a body, given that I'm just a hobby photographer. The D80 seems to be most of a D200 without the more expensive magnesium body and the weather-proofing--nice things I would love to have, but does it really make sense given my use and the $800 difference. The hardest part for me was the 3 frame per second burst rate of the D80 compared to the 5fps of the D200, but Ken Rockwell and others wrote that unless you are shooting a lot of sports, you're probably going to be happy with the 3fps and I think I am. Also, I took Ken's advice and went with this lens which is the least expensive of the kit lenses and placed my order for the impossible to get 18-200mm Nikon lens. This lens doesn't have a lot of reach but it seems amazing in quality.

(More customer reviews)I would give this three-and-a-half stars, if I could. The bag is nice, with adjustable dividers and a lot of pockets, so it could double as a purse and camera bag while traveling. I am, however, in the market for a bigger bag that would fit everything easier. It is a pretty tight squeeze with the camera, two lenses, and the accessories from the kit. I had to remove most of the dividers and put one lens in with the camera, so I'm not thrilled about that.
The accessories that come with the camera are plentiful and handy, and I think that this was a good price for what you get.

Cleaning towel was really nice and a great improvement to the little paper wipes usually provided. I also needed the blower and pen as I was swapping lenses all the time and it was right there in my kit. I Like the retractable pen, the previous brush I had got kinked and dirty from being loose in the bag. Good tool set. I took a while choosing this set to make sure that my needs and habits were filled. I recommend this to anyone traveling and taking photos.

(More customer reviews)This is simply a great lens. It is light-weight and covers most of the range of indoor home photography. It is sharp, and did I say light-weight, and a nice change from the three pound zoom I was using. And it is has VR (Vibration Reduction), which really works. Crank the ISO up to 800-1600 and forget about the flash. Shots are clear and bright at 1/15 sec... hand-held. It looks like my 50mm 1.4D is going into retirement, and I plan to wear this 18-55mm out... and then buy another. Note: There is a lot of plastic on the lens (thus, the lightweight) and I think I can wear it out in five years (30,000+ shots), but by then something better will be available... still a great deal.

Now, thanks to my F65, I'm shooting slide films and learning the zone system and continue to amaze ppl with my wonderful pictures. I had a chance to play with the more advanced F80 but besides the faster flash sync offered I'm fully satisfied with my easier-to-manage F65. By "easier" I don't mean any loss in functionalities or features. Advanced features like multiple exposures, depth-of-view preview and auto bracketing are all there inside this compact, light weight body. There's an optional infra red remote for this camera that functions like a cable release which's a must for night and serious photography too. The camera works with all AI and AFS Nikkor lenses. A shutter speed of 1/2000 is more than adequate for all conditions and film pull/push can be achieved by exposure compensation despite the fact that we can't directly manipulate the ISO setting. It's a perfect camera for novices with its automatic modes, and for advanced users with its possible manual settings. The matrix metering is reliable and accurate, the center weighted metering is good for low light or night photography. It doesn't have spot metering, but it isn't necessary anyway as a real professional won't need a on-camera spot meter. So unless you're in need of a faster flash sync for wildlife photography or a more rugged but heavier body, there're really no reasons to go for higher models.
