(More customer reviews)This is the lens to use if you want to use your Nikon SLR on your Nikon fieldscope. It is typical of lenses made by Nikon meaning it is very well made. I would give it 5-stars except for two things. First, like anything from Nikon, it is pricey. Second, setting up the tripod, attaching the fieldscope, removing the eyepiece, adding the FSA-L1, and attaching the camera takes a lot of time. You had better hope that if you want to take a picture, that the subject hasn't left or the sun hasn't set. OTOH, the optical qualities are excellent.
