The nikon battery supplied with the camera took many pictures, so much so that when I finally tried the supplied spare batteries everything was out of warrantee. The spare batteries seemed to be the same size, the voltage checked OK, but when I put them in the camera the camera said they were dead. Amazon said try Carmeta, Carmeta said try the manufacturer (video pro?). Communication with the manufacturer and they said send the batteries back. I did that several months ago and now emails go unanswered. So I'm out the cost of two
EN-EL3 batteries, but the fact that the manufacturer is probably still pumping out defective batteries gripes me.
