I replaced the AN-D70 strap that came with my Nikon D70 DSLR camera with a Promaster ContourProStrap purchased locally. (Search on "promaster 6548" via Google to see it.) Here's a comparison.
AN-D70: $16.95. Length adjusts from 26" to 45". The part that goes around your neck is 1.5" wide, rather stiff, not padded, and is not contoured (curved). The strap does not have quick releases.
Promaster: $15.99. Length adjustment is 37" to 54". The part that goes around your neck is 2.25" wide, softly padded, and contoured. It has a well done quick release on each end.
The better designed ProStrap is MUCH more comfortable on your neck when supporting a D70-sized camera and is sufficiently long for a tall person. You can easily remove most of the strap via the quick releases. This is also a safety feature, in case your strap gets caught on something and you need to get it off fast.
The AN-D70 strap is too short for a tall person, as the camera rides high on your chest. This strap is uncomfortable to carry a large camera around for any length of time, because the strap is narrow, fairly stiff, not padded, and not contoured.
The Op/Tech Pro Strap, sold by Amazon, is also a great camera strap, and only cost a few dollars more than the Nikon strap.
I can't think of a reason for anyone to buy the AN-D70 strap. Better camera straps are available, some at lower cost.
